Köln & Trier

September 18, 2021 We hopped on an 8:37 bus to Koblenz, then a 9:15 train to Köln, aka Cologne,  where cologne was actually invented! It honestly wasn't my favorite city and there wasn't much to do or see. But nonetheless, it was a fun, albeit, exhausting day. Right as you walk outside of the Köln train station, BAM! the Kölner Dom. WOW, what a sight to see. it's SO much taller than a camera can capture döner, Turkish food 😍 We walked to the old part of the city where there were a lot of restaurants.  some dude was blowing bubbles for the kids! Then we walked across the Hohenzollern Bridge and explored that part of the city for a little while.  After we crossed back to the mainland, we went to Rheinauhafen, a more residential part of the city. Next, we headed to the shopping center close to the train station. Even though we did not see or do much, everything we did see was spread apart so we ended up walking 9 miles.
