August 21, 2021 My train was at 10:25 and went directly to Koblenz, where I then took a bus to Vallendar. I had to get all of my luggage uphill for the longest 5 minutes of my life. On the way back to my dorm I walked by the WHU campus so I walked around a little to see my new school! Right as I got home, it started to pour.  the admin building at WHU, which was a castle!! After the rain subsided I decided to go on a walk.  August 23, 2021 I still had not met a single person in Vallendar, so I went exploring on my own again in the afternoon....

The scenery is definitely worth it, iPhone camera quality is just not cuttin it. After the watch tower, I headed down the mountain a different way to see the historic bridge and walked around for a while until I put my next destination into Google Maps. My next destination, however, was back up the same mountain I had just come down. So I trekked back up. If Heidelberg Thingstätte is on your itinerary, make sure you keep google maps pulled up the whole time. It kept getting confused about where I was and telling me I was on the wrong path. When in doubt, stay ...
